"Such a creative and rich retelling. It reminded me a bit of The Winternight Trilogy, which I also loved. As with anything I've read based on Russian folklore, it was super dark and sad at parts. But the three heroines the author creates are wonderful! They're all strong and resourceful in unique ways - I rooted for each of them."

I almost LOVED this book. As it is, I really, really liked it. But the ending.. I just didn't love the resolution. It was certainly surprising!
The writing here was lovely, and there was tons of fantastic atmosphere. Lots of fascinating psychological analysis as well."
