"This is one of my favorite books of historical biblical fiction. It's dark and mysterious – keeps you gripped until the last page."

"This is my second time through this one and although I didn't enjoy it as much as the first time, it was still great! It's a beautiful portrait of how to approach marriage and general trials of life. It also really makes you think about the story of Esther and all that she went through and how faithful God is! "

"I've swung and missed so often the last few years with Christian fiction that I've come to have really low expectations. But not here! This was well-written and absorbing. I felt fully immersed in the ancient time period and wrapped up in the trials of the heroine. I felt edified and challenged by the faith elements of the story - it's been so long since I've gotten that from fiction!

There were definitely some corn-ball moments. I could've done with less of the romance. Oh how the times have changed!"
